Sending a text message from Gmail

Do you have a parent or student that likes to communicate via text message, but you don't want to share your personal phone number? You can send text messages from your Gmail!

To do this, simply address your email to phonenumber@vtext.com. For example, if the recipient's phone number was (518) 555-5555, the destination email would be 5185555555@vtext.com.

When the recipient responds, you will have to open the attached text file to read it.

Note: This trick will work with any cell phone service provider!
